We will be driving from Kathmandu to Arughat early in the morning. The landscape along with the lifestyle of the habitant changes radically as we proceed on. Arughat is a bustling town which is cut into half by the Budhi Gandaki River. We can enjoy the pleasant stay here and make the necessary preparation for the amazing trek next morning. Overnight accommodation will be in a lodge.
Day 2: Arughat to Khursani bari (820m) Hiking Duration: 6 to 7 hours
We start off our trek to Khursani bari by crossing a steel suspension bridge and walking on stone paved street. There is an ACAP office where we can get brochures describing the region and some useful information. Here you will also have to show the trekking permits and entry permits. After the paper works are done, we will proceed on and pass through fields of rice, millets to maltar. Continuing past forests full of monkeys, we will arrive at Sante bazaar; a collection of thatched houses, shops and a shady Pipla tree with view of Singri Himal (7187m). The trail then runs along Soti Khola and we may enjoy a dip in the chilly water of the river and can get refreshed. After Soti khola, the trail crosses a bridge and treks through beautiful Sal forests on the way to Khursani bari. Overnight accommodation will be in a Teahouse lodge.
Day 3: Khursani bari to Khorla Besi (970m) Hiking Duration: 6 to 7 hours
The trail today becomes a bit precarious as it passes over a big rock and crosses a steam on a single log that is perched high above the stream. The rocky trail then weaves its way up and down past two tropical waterfalls on a steep, rocky trail clinging to the side of a cliff. The trail eventually makes its way down and past few rice terraces, up and around to the Gurung village of Lapu besi (880m) where we can rest for a while. As we proceed on, the trail drops to the sandy riverbed at 860m and we will find ourselves walking along rounded stones until the Macha Khola (930m). The narrow trail then makes some minor ups and downs, often dropping onto gravel bars alongside the river. The trail then crosses the Tharo Khola flowing in a rockey ravine, then reaches Khorla Besi. Overnight will be on Teahouse lodge.
Day 4: Khoralabesi to Jagat (1370m) via Tatopani (Hot shower) Hiking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

After more ups and downs, the trail wines to a side hot spring, and then reaches Tatopani (990m) meaning hot water. The narrow village square has a hot spring, where we can take bath or wash. Then as we proceed on, the trail passes through Dovan (1070m) and Yaru Khola (1330m). After crossing a 93m long suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola, the trail ascends and opens up to a wide set of stone stairs and runs along the river before climbing to the compact of Jagat (1370m). Overnight accommodation will be in a Teahouse lodge.
